Tow-Behind Plug Aerator, 40-Inch, Universal Hitch Tray

Tow behind plug aerator improves soil airflow and drainage to help grass roots take in water and nutrients with less manual effort. The 40-inch working width covers more ground per pass, while 2-inch tine penetration breaks up compacted soil for stronger, thicker turf. Designed to tow behind a lawn tractor or riding mower, it includes a weight tray for added downforce and more consistent aeration across varied soil types.

Built for repeated seasonal use, this pull-behind aeration tool uses an iron, powder-coated frame and reinforced hardware to resist rust and outdoor exposure. Universal hitch compatibility makes it easy to pair with most garden tractors and riding mowers, while the strap slots on the tray help secure sandbags or weights so they stay put during turns. If you’re dealing with hard, dry ground or heavy clay, add weight and make clean passes to open the soil and improve drainage. Grab yours today.
